Advances in CAR T-Cell Therapy: What Does the Future Look Like?

Advances in CAR T-Cell Therapy: What Does the Future Look Like?

Friday, December 4, 2020

Live, Interactive Virtual Webcast!

3:00 PM – 6:00 PM PST

Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy has emerged as a powerful and potentially curative therapy for cancer, particularly hematologic malignancies. In leukemia and lymphoma, CAR T cells have been approved in acute lymphoblastic leukemia and aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). More recently, CAR T-cell therapy has been approved for patients with relapsed/refractory mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), and promising data have been observed in other settings, including indolent NHL (iNHL). Therefore, health care professionals will be increasingly incorporating CAR T cells during the course of treating their patients with leukemia and lymphoma.

This live, online symposium is designed to provide participants with up-to-date knowledge regarding the application of current CAR T-cell therapies and future approaches in this field. This program will also feature a representative from community practice, as well as a nurse specialist, reflecting the multidisciplinary nature of CAR T-cell therapy. In addition to presentations of cutting-edge data, panel discussions and a question-and-answer session will help participants make informed decisions about the use of CAR T cells, as well as the mitigation and management of treatment-related adverse events.

Benefits of Attending

  • Integrate expert approaches for CAR T-cell therapy in your practice
  • Gain insights from community-based faculty
  • Learn best practices for adverse event management from a nursing specialist perspective

  • Discuss criteria for selection of patients for CAR T-cell therapy and best practices for referral and follow-up of patients from community practices
  • Incorporate strategies to mitigate and manage treatment-related adverse events in patients undergoing CAR T-cell therapy
  • Describe the role of advanced practitioners in counseling patients and caregivers on expectations during CAR T-cell therapy, and in improving patient care through communication with the patient and the multidisciplinary care team
