The 2nd Annual Advanced Practice Collaborative is a live, in-studio video broadcast to rapidly update primary care practitioners on the latest advances across key therapeutic areas. We know that you are tasked with the management of a wide range of diseases, ailments, and symptoms. Whether it be diabetes or cardiovascular issues, when your patients walk into your practice, you treat it all. To help you stay up-to-date on the latest standards in care, this live webcast blends expert presentations, panel discussions, and virtual audience participation across an extensive array of clinical topics. Join us to enhance your understanding, knowledge, and competence in the prevention, treatment, and management of a multitude of chronic conditions, illnesses, and associated comorbidities. This new Advanced Practice Collaborative is as its name suggests: a gathering of the frontline practitioners dedicated to improving patient care, together.

Target Audience

This curriculum is directed toward nurse practitioners and physician assistants practicing in the primary care setting. Physicians and other health care professionals interested in the treatment of patients in the primary care setting may also attend and participate.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should have improved their ability to:
  • Review updates to guidelines and recommendations for screening and evaluation of patients presenting with illnesses commonly encountered in primary care
  • Discuss the potential impact of recent clinical trial data on clinical decision making and care of patients in a variety of illnesses encountered in primary care
  • Identify strategies to recognize and manage treatment-related adverse events in primary care
  • Assess challenges faced by primary care practitioners in care of patients with a wide range of illnesses
  • Discern strategies for patient education, adherence, disease prevention, and self-management across a multidisciplinary team
