The Role of Anticoagulants for Secondary Prevention in CAD and PAD Patients: When Should Therapy be Initiated?

The Role of Anticoagulants for Secondary Prevention in CAD and PAD Patients: When Should Therapy be Initiated?

Tuesday, November 17, 2020

Live, Interactive Virtual Webcast!

5:00 pm to 6:30 pm CST

Overview

Atherosclerosis is a key pathogenetic mechanism underlying the clinical conditions that account for top causes of mortality and mortality among Americans—coronary artery disease (CAD) and peripheral arterial disease (PAD). Despite advances in the care of patients with these diseases, there remain opportunities to improve care delivery to affected patients through ongoing clinician education and professional development.

This online virtual symposium brings renowned experts in atherosclerotic disease together to provide attendees with commentary on the state-of-the-art management and prevention of CAD and PAD with antithrombotic strategies. Focus will be placed on reducing the risk of secondary events in these patients. By coupling practice focused slide-based presentations with engaging patient case vignettes, the faculty will highlight the current recommendations that constitute best practices.

Benefits of Attending

  • Hearing from experts about best practices for applying guideline recommendations;
  • Examining potential effects of recent clinical trial data on clinical decision-making; and
  • Comparing and contrasting the profiles of current and emerging treatment options.
