Physicians' Education Resource®, LLC Hosts Conference That Explores Integrating New Therapies
Plainsboro, N.J. – Feb. 27, 2013 – Physicians' Education Resource® (PER®), the go-to source for excellence in continuing medical education, will host the 6th Annual Interdisciplinary Prostate Cancer Congress™ on March 16 at the Crowne Plaza Times Square in New York City.
The 6th Annual Interdisciplinary Prostate Cancer Congress™ is a day-long meeting that will educate health care professionals on advances in the treatment of patients with prostate cancer. This program is designed to integrate the latest clinical trial data with emerging strategies in order to maximize patient outcomes.
The congress will be chaired by Leonard G. Gomella, MD, FACS, and Daniel P. Petrylak, MD. Dr. Gomella is the Bernard W. Godwin Jr. Professor of Prostate Cancer at Jefferson Medical College, the chairman of the department of urology at Jefferson Medical College, and the associate director of the Kimmel Cancer Center in Philadelphia. Dr. Petrylak is the director of prostate and genitourinary cancers and co-director of the signal transduction program at Yale University Cancer Center.
Drs. Gomella and Petrylak and other thought leaders will deliver presentations and give attendees opportunities to interact with the faculty through debates and open discussions, as well as share practical experiences, solve clinical problems, clarify best practices and discuss well-established and emerging therapeutic opportunities.
This educational congress is directed at medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons and urologists involved in the treatment and management of patients with prostate cancer. Fellows, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists and other health care professionals interested in the treatment of patients with prostate cancer are also invited to attend.
PER® is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide learning opportunities for physicians.
