Overview

The 10th International Congress on Targeted Therapies in Cancer® was held August 17-18, 2012 in Washington, DC. This two-day meeting provided cutting-edge information on novel targeted anticancer therapies now being developed. Speakers highlighted the mechanisms of action of and the most current clinical data on these novel agents. Lectures detailed the multiple signaling pathways that are disrupted in cancer as well as novel targeted approaches that specifically affect aberrant signaling in tumor cells. 
 
10th International Congress on Targeted Therapies in Cancer®: Community Practice Connections is a series ofof short, interactive video interviews of the leading breast cancer experts who addressa variety of questions commonly faced in the community oncology practice setting.The interviews for this activity focus on targeted approaches in the treatment of breast, prostate, and non-small cell lung cancer.
 

Instructions For This Activity

  • Once you begin the activity, please answer 2 demographic questions. This will allow you to leave the activity and return to the same place.
  • You may then view any of the 3 modules in the order.
  • Each module contains interactive questions. You may move forward through the modules; however, you may not go back to change answers or review videos until you finish each module.
  • At the end of each module, “presentation/slides” link will be available with all the videos for your reference.
  • If you clear your cache after you complete any of the modules, the “presentation/slides” link will disappear and you will need to re-take a module in its entirety to access the link to the “presentation/slides” again.

 

Instructions For Receiving Credit

In order to receive a CME certificate, participants must complete the post-test and pass with a score of 70% or higher, complete the evaluation, and request for credit.  Participants may immediately download a CME certificate upon completion of these steps.


 

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
  • Evaluate emerging clinical data regarding novel agents and evolving strategies in cancer treatment, and incorporating that data to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Evaluate clinical trials involving novel targeted agents that most benefit cancer patients.
