Activity Overview

 
Community Practice Connections Oncology Best Practice™: Informed Decision Making in Advanced NSCLC: Matching Treatment to Patient features a series of interviews and interactive clinical vignettes with expert faculty members who explore key clinical questions in lung cancer for the online participant. This activity is divided into 3 modules addressing therapy of patients across multiple lines of therapy, including patients whose disease does not have actionable genetic mutations/rearrangements. In each module, individual expert faculty provide their insights and commentary, with a focus on the clinical application of key educational concepts covered in the live activity. Throughout the online activity, interactive polling questions and case vignettes will also allow participants to compare their answers to their peers.
 
Target Audience
This activity is directed toward oncologists in the treatment of patients with lung cancer. Fellows, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, researchers, and other healthcare professionals interested in the treatment of lung cancer may also participate.
 
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
  1. Discuss recent clinical trial evidence that can be applied to front-line clinical decision making in advanced NSCLC.
  2. Evaluate options in the second line and beyond for patients with advanced NSCLC in the context of patient characteristics and prior lines of therapy.
  3. Identify patient and tumor characteristics of clinical use in personalized care strategies for patients with lung cancer.
  4. Summarize strategies to proactively plan for and manage treatment-related, adverse events in patients with advanced NSCLC.
