This webinar will provide the nurse practitioner with an evidence-based overview regarding the management of psoriasis patients. Areas that will be discussed include comorbidities associated with psoriasis and how to screen patients; implementing methods for creating therapeutic patient–provider communication; assessing current and emerging clinical safety efficacy data; and will examine the importance of patient education in enhancing treatment compliance.

Describe how to screen patients for comorbidities associated with psoriasis
Explain how to implement effective methods for improving patient–provider communication and incorporating patient-specific factors to help patients with psoriasis adhere to prescribed therapy
Assess clinical efficacy and safety data of current and emerging psoriasis therapies in order to provide optimal treatment
Design individualized treatment strategies for psoriasis patients based on evidence-based guidelines, safety and efficacy of pharmacologic treatment options, disease severity, and patient quality of life (QoL) factors
Examine the importance of patient education and awareness in improving treatment outcomes
